The funny thing is that most people think photos of Alaska are photo shopped. It is such a beautiful place that it is hard to believe the beauty of it.

Oh my gosh, this is absolutely amazing! *_*
I always wanted to see the northern lights! Do you happen to know whether I'd able to see this aurora in the south-west of Alaska, too? Or would I have to be in the northern part?

Never saw the last frontier exposed this way - but you survived the coldnees, along with your camera.
But think I'm melting too - just because of the total arrangement - not only the Aurora Borealis.
We are blessed with magnetic fields (..)

I hope to stand there this Christmas and slowly walk through all the trees toward the aurora. I'd then fall down in a circle of trees and look up, then fall asleep in a thick, warm jacket. Perfect screenshot you took there; you have an awesome environment!

I used to live in Alaska, and I plan on going back someday; the Northern Lights in person are more beautiful and breath taking than any picture can ever depict.

It has to be clear and dark to get a picture like this...unfortunately, that means during the winter at night, and that means vrrrry cold!
This is an amazing picture, even among ones of the Northern Lights!
